  • Is there Mobile Phone coverage?
    There is limited mobile phone coverage with the Telstra Network and no mobile phone coverage with any other networks.
  • Is the FREE Wi-Fi available anywhere other than my room?
    Yes, there is FREE Wi-Fi available in each of our lodges, the Swimming Pool and Guest Lounge area.

Getting There
  • Are there any Public Transport options?
    There are very limited Public Transport options on the Atherton Tablelands and no Public Transport options available to Lake Eacham. Taxis and private charters are available to our Lodge but will need to be booked in advance and incur travel / call out fees.

    We recommend hiring a car at the Cairns Airport and driving to us. This will best allow you to fully explore the natural attractions of the Waterfalls and Crater Lakes District of the Atherton Tableland.
  • Where is the best place to hire a car from?
    We recommend hiring a car at the Cairns Airport and driving to us.
  • Can we access the lodge by car?
    Yes, all of the main roads in the area are bitumen sealed. The 700m access driveway into the property is made of hard packed road base gravel and offers uninterupted access to all styles of vehicles, year round.

Food
  • Do you serve any food?
    We do not serve any food on the Property.
  • Can I prepare my own food in my lodge?
    Yes, your lodge is equipped with a full kitchen including a 4 burner gas stove, microwave, fridge, crockery, cuttlery, pots and pans.
  • Where is the best place to buy groceries from?
    FoodWorks Yungaburra is less than a 10 minute drive from the lodge and is open daily between 7am and 8pm.
  • Are there places nearby that serve food?
    Yes, there are a large variety of cafes and several restaurants located within a 15 minute drive of the lodge.

Climate
  • Can we visit in the Wet Season?
    Yes you can, the "Wet Season" has a very mild impact on Tourists visiting the Atherton Tablelands.
  • Do you have Air Conditioning?
    We do not have air conditioning in any of our lodges. Due to our altitude of more than 750m above sea level, we get considerably cooler temperatures than our coastal / low land neighbours. Our lodges are under the cover of trees and are kept comfortably cool year round by ceiling fans in both the lounge and bedroom.
  • What are the average temperatures for each season?

Health Matters
  • I have trouble walking, will I be able to access my lodge?
    All of our Lodges have staircases of varying heights leading to them. If you have mobility issues, please contact us to discuss your needs and check on the availability of being situated in one of our lodges with a lower staircase.
  • Are there Hospitals nearby?
    Yes, Atherton Hospital is located 20mins drive and Cairns Base Hospital is located 1hr 15mins drive from the lodge. The local ambulance service has an excellent response time to our property and there is a helicopter service that runs between Atherton and Cairns Base Hospitals.

  • Check-In and Check-Out Times

  • What if I need to change or cancel my reservation?
    For reservations made directly with the hotel, you can change or cancel your reservation free of charge up until 48 hours before your check-in. Simply call us on +61 (0)7 40953754 or email us at bookings@chamberslodges.com.au.

    For cancellations made after 48 hours prior to your check-in, we charge a fee equivalent to the cost of your first nights’ accommodation.
  • Can I change my reservation once I have checked in?
    Extending your stay: You are welcome to extend your stay with us after having already checked in, subject to availability.

    Shortening your stay: After having checked in, you are obliged to pay for the full duration of the reservation. You are of course welcome to check-out earlier than planned, should you need to.

    Extra guests: Adding extra guests after you have checked in is subject to bedding and staff availability to facilitate your request and will incur extra fees.

    Reducing guests: You may reduce the number of guests (e.g., someone can’t make it last minute), however the cost of the reservation will remain the same.
  • Do I need a credit card to book? and when is payment due?
    We require a credit card to make a reservation, as a security. We don’t require payment until your arrival on the day of check-in.
